(1) Equipment unpacking and inventory: Before the equipment is delivered to the site for installation, the general contractor is responsible for counting, registering, and inspecting each mechanical device of the unit one by one together with the owner (or its representative) or supplier, according to the packing list and equipment skill documents. Important components must also be inspected according to quality standards. After inspection, both parties sign for verification and transfer the equipment.
(2) Baseline Layout (Equipment Positioning): Based on the equipment layout diagram and the axis or edge lines and elevation lines of relevant buildings, the device reference line is delineated. Equipment that is connected, linked, or arranged together should have a single device reference line; If necessary, general or permanent markers or reference points should be buried; Set specific base azimuth lines and base elevation lines.
(3) Equipment foundation inspection: For heavy equipment with relatively high level requirements, no foundation preload test is performed before installation, but only during trial operation of the foundation settlement observation.
(4) Equipment positioning: Equipment is safely placed on the foundation, which plays a significant role in industrial equipment installation projects, mainly requiring lifting operations. A piece of equipment that is heavy, bulky, and has a very high installation orientation faces high lifting difficulty and high costs. For equipment crashes, the base should first be put in place.

Especially for heavy-duty, high-speed, and high-vibration machinery, if not securely fixed, it may lead to major accidents. For disassembly equipment, the base should be fixed in place before assembly.
(6) Disassembly, cleaning, and assembly: For dismantling machinery and equipment exceeding the rust-preventive storage period, disassembly, cleaning, and assembly should be carried out. This requires a relatively detailed procedure. If cleaning is not thorough or assembly is improper, it will affect the normal operation of the equipment in the future.
(7) Lubrication and equipment lubrication: These are necessary conditions to ensure the normal operation of mechanical equipment. The lubricating oil circuit and lubrication areas must be clean, lubricants should be reasonably selected, quality must meet requirements, and the amount of oil and lubricant added to equipment should be appropriate.
(8) Adjustment and trial operation: This is a crucial step in comprehensive inspection of equipment manufacturing and installation quality, involving many specialties and personnel, requiring careful organization and unified command.
(9) Project acceptance: After the equipment passes trial operation, project acceptance should be promptly carried out.
